Bug: Portrait mode startup

Something that I have noticed with MLBM15 on my iPhone 4s (iOS 8.1.1) is that, if I have the phone oriented naturally in portrait mode when I start the app, it sometimes doesn't rotate the image to landscape mode like iOOTP14 always did. If it doesn't do the rotation, the "right" side of the image is cut off. Exiting the app and restarting it after rotating my phone fixes the problem.

I noticed that the image usually rotates if I go to portrait mode with the home button (on iPhone 4s) on the left but not if it's on the right.

Have you guys noticed that when the bottom of the phone is pointing to the right that the game is less responsive to pressing the buttons?

When you flip it it works the best.
