editing career stats?
So, here's my question. Somebody somewhere must have an answer to this. I want to know how to edit career stats. For instance, say I was using a 2001 player set and wanted to start in 2003. How would I add (manually) 2002 stats? And, OOTP5 will keep minor league stats. How can I add those to a player's career stats? I'm guessing I have to be able to open the .dat files. I've tried doing that in a couple of different (an ancient) database programs and even tried accessing it through DOS. So far, no luck. Also, will OOTP5 be compatable with Lahmann v. 5? Sure would be cool if it was. Lahmann added some great stuff to the latest version.

i don't think OOTP uses a standard database format...so you won't be able to edit it with any general DB app...but, there is an editor floating around which is specially made to allow you to edit just about anything in OOTP, including career stats...it's called the pierre editor...

I haven't had sucess using any version of Pierre's editor (lastest I tried was 2b).
I can change any stat, tab out of the entry, save the file and the league and exit out. Whenever I load the league again, either in the game or in the editor, my changes didn't take. Any help would be appreciated! When I started this league, I replayed it four or five times to get the stats to come out the way I wanted them, so some players have multiple all star game notations right next to the team name in the career stats. All I'm trying to do is remove all-star game notations for the years I replayed. |
