I'm GM only for the Cubs. Maddens profile says he "sometimes" likes to hit the pitcher in the 8 spot, but it is every game. Is there any way to get him to stop hitting the pitcher n the 8 spot?
Also are there any stats for players in the draft pool. There are none visible coming up to the june draft. |

To your second question:
For the default, hand-created draft classes from years 2015-2017 (and some 2018), there are no stats. However, if you would like draft classes with stats, you can use the following workaround: 1. Set the draft pool to generate well advance of the amateur draft. 2. When that draft pool of real players generates, go into the draft pool, and (in commisioner mode), mass select and delete all of the players. Reset the draft pool to generate again at some point before the amateur draft (I usually do a month before). 3. The new class will generate with fictional players complete with stats!

You can change the team's lineups by going to the lineups tab in the team's home page. There you will see lineups for RHP, LHP, and so on. For the Cubs you will see that the catcher occupies the 9th spot in the lineup for both the RPH and LHP lineups. You can drag and drop the catcher into the 8th spot. (You probably will have to be in commissioner mode to do that.) That should cause the pitcher to appear in the 9th spot. I don't know how often the AI modifies these set lineups, so doing this may mean that you won't see a pitcher in the 8th spot any more at all.

I thought that was the worst rule added in baseball in my entire lifetime but must confess that last year's "Posey" rule has now made the DH the second worst rule change in my entire lifetime.

What year are you in? We added a lot of stats to the real guys in the pool, you should be seeing some stats at least. Not everyone has them, especially among HS guys, but most college guys should.

I'm just end of May in first year. I don't have a problem not seeing the stats. I was wondering if I was not looking in the right place.
The issue with the pitcher hitting 8th always is the bigger problem. |

If the manager believes something works, why would he only do it sometimes?
