Lost my manager with import of OOTP15

Anybody else have this issue? Imported my OOTP 15 league and the game started with me as manager and Gm so it put my manager out in limbo. I have a vacancy now but he is not in the available personnel list.

You could go into Commish mode, create him as a Manager from the available personnel page, then assign him to your team with a contract.

Just copy all his ratings from 15. Not ideal but a good workaround.

Same thing happened to me. He was not on the Available Personnel listing. I actually had to do a Player Search for him (lucky I remembered his name). Then, once I found him, I had to edit him back on my team.

I'm not sure if I was/had to be in a specific mode (GM / GM & Mgr., etc.)when I did this.

I had the same problem, can't find him with the basic search feature either. i had over 2000 Wins. When i click on me as the GM it goes to the GM home page vs MGR profile. I posted in the Bug thread.

Thanks for the responses guys. I found my Manager (Bud Black) in the almanac. I will see if I can edit him back in.

I had this problem, do a search for him, go to the editor and release him to free agency. Now with the editor, sign him back up with your team, you should be able to keep all your records with him.

I have a longtime running franchise dating back to OOTP X. This is a big issue for me, and I hope Markus patches this up.

I'm already in my offseason in my 15 game so i'll wait until the end of the upcoming season to convert. I haven't bought the game yet

The method I posted above yours works for the time being, but I agree it's something that should be fixed(and most likely will).

Yeah I have to do the same thing, John Farrell is my manager and when I transferred my season/fantasy league over to 16 from 15 I lost him too....thanks for the reminder, I'll need to edit that sometime soon myself.

I found my manager that I lost and he is still on my team just in hidden form as I still had him under contract before I moved to OOTP in offseason. I found him by going to the Manager history page where you see the most wins by MGR. I clicked on his name and found he was still on my team and under contract but no position yet and trying to find a position for him and thinking to make him assist GM. I play both MGR and GM and I think that's why it removed my MGR is because I am the MGR too. I bet if you was playing GM only mode he would still be the MGR.

I'll need the OOTP 15 league files (*.dat) to reproduce this. Please upload (instructions can be found in the first post of the bug report thread) and post in that thread with the file name please.

By the way, if you switch your play mode to GM-only the manager should appear again IIRC.

Yes that is true. Also I found myself under League Index - Managers and found out I am a well respected hard ass. i am also still under contract with Ford. The GM version of me is credited with being a BC for 3 yrs for the White Sox.
