Real Rookies vs Feeder Leagues

I read that the game comes with real-world amateur players for the next few years of draft classes. I usually like to play with feeder leagues (high school and college) so that I can track amateur prospects' progress and give them an in-game backstory before they are drafted. I'm wondering how, if at all, these are compatible.

For example, if I have high school and college feeder leagues, will these real-world prospects play in those leagues? Or will they appear in the draft class (without any amateur stats) along with fictional players from the feeder leagues? Or is at a straight either/or concept in that I must choose between real-world prospects and fictional feeder league players and it is impossible to have both at the same time?

Thanks in advance for any light you can shed on this topic.

(In an unrelated topic, but one not worthy of a new thread, does anyone know if the game ships with ballpark factors included in the game? For example, is Fenway Park great for right-handed hitters and Yankee Stadium great for left-handed hitters, or are the ballpark dimensions just for window dressing? Again, thanks in advance.)

I've never been a fan of the factors it ships with. Gambo however has taken a lot of time to put together a list of factors for pretty much every ballpark that has held a professional or semi-professional team since the late part of the 1800's.

Note to self: Princess Kenny was really off-putting.

I've also planned on using feeder leagues in OOTP 16 with the MLB Quickstart. I ultimately decided it would be best to wait until 2 or 3 seasons in to setup the feeders.

That's a good idea. That's probably the way I'll go too, assuming there are enough real draftees to support a draft.

They will appear along with any from your feeder depending on your draft settings. Some real draftees will have their college stats. We add as many RL stats for these as we can.
Yes you can have both real and fictional draftees at the same time.

to be clear, the real prospects will not play in your feeder leagues. You will also probably have to make sure that you have the game generate additional players other than your feeders.

I thinkThe ballpark dimensions themselves are window dressing, as far as I know. The park factors that actually alter the game engine are separate from the dimensions.

you are correct. dimensions do not mean anything. they will affect hr distances in the game log though. park factors are the only thing that matters
