Is there anyway to turn off the international amateur FA rules?

I don't want teams to be limited to a cap when bidding on int amateur FA. If I raise the cap, then the player's demands raise. If I set it to 0, then teams are signing players for 0. What can I do?

You can't disable that rule.

A work around is, instead of International Amateurs, have International established FA's that are treated same as all FA's and open to highest bidder.

Of course if you want Amateur's then you're kind of stuck because established will be older players.

It's hard coded, likely to replicate real life.

another thing that I just noticed. If you have a salary cap, teams will not bid on a player higher than the cap. Unless a human bids on the player, then the AI will begin to. Is this a known issue?

there's a lot that can be changed that does not replicate real life. There's a whole segment of OOTP players that play fictional.

Never heard of that one, do you know if others have experienced this?

If so, then a bug should be reported.

Why can't the rule be disabled? I find that ridiculous. Our promotion and relegation league is based on free market finances and a draconian cap to IFAs is completely contradictory to our league.

What's even worse with the rule is that adjusting the cap simply scales the players' demands.

I'm not the programmer, sorry.

I've played nothing but fictional since it was possible, I push for improvements to that area all the time. Trust me, when new MLB things get added to the game, I push to make them optional for fictional players. I make that voice heard on beta.

With the MLB License now added, I suspect a lot of things in OOTP will mirror MLB. All we can do is to keep hoping for options to disable some of them for our fictional worlds.

Doesn't always work, but Markus has a vision for his game. The MLB license is huge, and I'm sure he wants to build on that opportunity. Gotta respect that.

There are means and methods to get things changed in the game, calling them ridiculous isn't one of them.

Thanks for the feedback.

As you mention, the rule is counter productive for fictional leagues. To have something imposed like that is, yes, ridiculous.
