Not too bad!
That Bengal team sure screwed themselves last night. Such a laugh out loud game at Pacman and Burfict. |

Pats lost 4 of their last 6. Who da thunk?
I gave the Giants way too much credit. Didn't give Washington enough. |

Patriots appear to be getting healthier. I think they are still the best AFC team.
In the NFC I cannot see beyond Arizona and Carolina. My very amateur opinion is a New England vs Arizona Super Bowl Arizona is a high powered team and an emerging power and I think New England feel that have a lot to prove after they did not fully get to celebrate last years championship. If this is indeed the match up then I think it will be a good one. It also has a chance to cement Brady as the best QB in NFL history and I think he knows that. In the end I like New England but it should be a good contest. Again assuming it actually ends up that way. |

The last 90 seconds of that game yesterday were, without a doubt, the most terrible moments in my 27 years as a fan of the Cincinnati Bengals.
I went into the game assuming they would lose, so when it was 15-0 after the 3rd, I wasn't surprised or even disappointed. When it got to 15-10, I still thought they would lose. I shouted when AJ Green scored the go ahead touchdown, but still didn't think they'd get over the line. It was only when they intercepted the Steelers on the very next play that I allowed myself to hope, and I paid dearly for it. That debacle of an end ruined my afternoon, and put me in an apathetic, sour mood for the remainder of my Sunday...

I don't know why they didn't just take a knee three times and make the Steelers burn their timeouts, and then kick a field goal. That way, you're asking Pittsburgh to drive the length of the field and score a touchdown in less than a minute without any timeouts.

I'll be very surprised if the Bengals make it back to the playoffs next year. Five consecutive years of disappointment like this, concluded by Saturday's disaster, is probably too much baggage for a team to handle. Through this entire run, they've been good, but not great, so simply not good enough. The Monday night game against the Broncos a couple of weeks ago was a perfect example. They led 14-0 just before halftime and on the road, with a chance to wrap up a top two seed, and blew it. Instead, they finished 3rd and once again had to face the shark pit that is wildcard weekend. Oh, well.

Andy Reid strikes again. With 5:30 left to go and down by 14 the Chiefs looked like an already beaten team with no belief they could tie the game.
So much wasted time right until the 2:00 clock stoppage. |

I was 4/4 last week, I'm 2/2 this week and looking like I'll be going 3/3.
Goal is to be perfect in the playoffs after not being too hot during the regular season (though I did win a friendly pool). |

Carolina looked good but Cam seems to run less than he used to.
He has a good arm but his weapons beyond Olsen are non existent. If he wants to make the Super Bowl he needs a 200 yard passing/150 yard rushing game and the Panthers need some ball control. I would be mildy shocked if the Broncos beat the Patriots. The Broncos defense is good but I think the Patriots can score at least 24 on them and I don't see the Broncos scoring more than 23. Peyton is a shell of himself and has about 1 throw in 5 where he looks like he still has some zip and accuracy on the ball. The Patriots are healthy and should win this barring an upset. I still like Arizona and New England and if New England can stay healthy and no one shatters Gronks kneecaps with a low tackle, then I like them to repeat. |
