Came across an article on Yahoo is that Julio Franco at the ripe age 56 is playing in Japan as a semi-professional contributing as a player-manager. The article does note that the team doesn't know how often he will play, but too me it's pretty awesome he is still living his dream at his age. He also hopes to gain experience to become a manager in professional baseball.

Franco has always been a favorite of mine. As a kid I loved his unique batting stance. I'm happy for him. Baseball is for all ages. Glad he's finding a way to keep at it.
