A sad end to an all time great

Won-Il Kim entered the KBL in 1997 as an international amateur from South Korea. He has went on to become one of the most decorated pitchers in the history of the 41-year old KBL. He is currently the all-time wins leader and is 7 strikeouts away from that career record.

At 41years old he has just suffered a ruptured UCL that will shelve him for 14 months, effectively making it a CEI. What a career.

2020 would be a career ending year in my opinion, he streched his career simply too far. Sad to see someone once good being simply bad, though I can understand the motivation of certain milestones.

After his injury, if I would be Pittsburgs GM, I'd offer him a contract for 8 Ks worth of long relief, then a job as pitching coach, or scout.
