Fictional Statistical Outliers

I'm running some tests to try and get historical fictional with the reserve clause more dynamic (so teams don't go on 10-12 year dynasty runs). In one of my runs, I ran into Tim Brock.

Brock pitched for the St. Louis Terriers of the National Association from 1908-33. The NA is a Midwestern/Pacific major league, though not quite with the reputation of the eastern American Baseball Circuit. I'm not entirely sure if that factors in, but what I do know is this:

Brock is, quite possibly, the greatest pitcher I have ever seen in this game.

His record is an astounding 578-226, with a 2.18 career ERA. He won 20+ games 19 times, 18 in a row. He won 30 games or more three times. He also managed 52 saves in his career. He struck out 4,604 in his career, while walking only 1,445.

He was an 18-time All-Star selection (should have been more, in my view), and a 13-time Pitcher of the Year selection. The award, were I to continue with this league as a dynasty, would be named after him. He finished in the top three in wins 15 years in a row, leading the league eight times (six years straight). He finished in the top four in ERA 19 years in a row.

The Terriers, during Brock's career, won the Midwestern League 14 times, the NA nine times, and the National Championship five times. His teams never finished lower than third (so, yes, his career is circumstantial, but it appears the Terriers made the leap when he did).

He holds a 1700 strikeout margin over #2, ranks 41st in walks in his career, despite pitching over 7000 innings. He tossed 134 shutouts; second place is 80. He completed 676 games, which is in line with contemporaries (second is 635, though of his era, second is 503). His VORP is 2044; second is 1411. He has a WAR of 249; second is 199.

In short, I have never, in fifteen years of playing this game, seen someone totally been a man amongst boys the way Mr. Brock has.

What have you seen in your runs? If you have any other questions about Brock, I'd be more than willing to answer them.

Not like your guy but this guy has been a bane in my league for more than 2 decades and he is STILL PLAYING!!! That said, his ratings took a nosedive so I dont know if he can last much longer. He also has 53 playoff wins. If it were not for 1,000,000 injuries he probably would be in line with your guy.
