Kidney Donor Retires

Not sure if anyone has reported this before, but in my fictional league a 24-year-old budding star just retired to donate his kidney to his sister who has a serious, possibly fatal, kidney disease. Just wondering if he took a year off would he still be able to play with just one kidney? Any doctors out there?

Jose Fernandez retired in the middle of July with a 1.5 ERA to donate a kidney in one of my leagues

Theoretically yes, but a quick google search doesn't seem promising.

Whenever I do modern leagues, He always ends up being suspected of lying about his age. It's always him which is kind of odd

Yeah, I'm a Who geek, even though I like the old series better than the new one. So sue me.

I missed that. Considering I saw every episode as broadcast from ep 1 in 1963 to June of 1966 I never saw a regeneration. We didn't get Dr. Who in Canada until years later.
