Starting with expansion draft?

Hey, all.

Is it possible to start a new career as the Florida or Colorado GMs before the expansion draft? I'm sure it can be done after the draft with all the players already assigned but before then to draft yourself?

yes, you can. go to menu, hit manager, hit manager options, click actions, and hit manage different team. hope i helped.

But will that allow you to run the expansion draft? AFAIK, you can't do that, because iOOTP doesn't expand according to history when you play historical leagues. So you either start in 1992, in which case the Marlins and Rockies will never appear, or you start in 1993, in which case both those teams already have their rosters set up.

well i meant for the first year player draft.

Right, but I assume the OP meant that he wanted to take over one of those teams and run their expansion draft, which you can't do in iOOTP: You either start in 1992, in which case those teams never show up, or you start on Opening Day 1993 with those teams' rosters already set.
