Fictional League with Historical Players
I'm trying to set up a 12-team fictional league with historical players from all eras. I'm also looking to have a custom game schedule, so using the historical game creation wizard isn't going to work for me needs. I know how to import real-life rookies into later drafts, but I'm not sure if there is a way to start an inaugural draft with only randomly selected historical players. Is this possible and if so, how can I do it?

What is your 12 team setup and what type of schedule are you wanting to use?

I'm looking at creating one league with 2 divisions of 6 teams playing games only on Saturdays and Sundays, April-Mid October. I've done a set up like this before with entirely fictional rosters, but I'd like to have the same set up with historical players instead.

You can still use the historical wizard. Create the league first. Then go to edit league structure and delete the teams needed to get down to 12. You can change the locations and team nicknames to whatever you want them to be. Then create your schedule. Just make sure you uncheck the box for auto expansion.
I currently have a 12 team, 1 subleague, random debut league. For the first 12 years the league had 2 6 team divisions and played a 136 game schedule. Just started my 13th season and I'm now using a 154 game schedule with a 12 team no division setup. All fictional team nicknames. |
