Should he be a Pitcher or Batter??
Assuming I don't need anymore help in one or the other and the same for league, does this guy stand a better chance as a pitcher or hitter? He's 19 and throws and bats RH. He has Normal WE and INT. 1-10 ratings. He was just my 2nd round pick so I want to make him count. I would like to dedicate him to one position and don't want to play him on both sides. What do you think?

Unless this is a very small fictional league, having two pitches means he'll be nothing more than a good reliever. So I'd make him a hitter if I had to choose one or the other. (But I'd make him a two-way guy if it was my league.)

Not that I have a lot of experience at running a team, but it seems logical that you would want to give him the most experience at where you might be lacking on your roster, either position player or pitcher. Though looking at him strictly objectively, it appears he would have more of an impact as a position player. He has all of the 5 tools as far as potential, hit for power, hit for average, speed, fielding and arm. As a pitcher, he only has 2 pitches that are plus, not outstanding velocity and only has bullpen potential. Again, need could determine where to play him, but his appearance is more impact as a hitter.

He could be one of the league's top 3Bs, or a decent closer. I would take the 3B every time.

I'm going to go out on a limb here. It seems to me that he is further developed in relation to his potential, in his pitching stats (Mov, Con, Stu). With normal WE and INT, he may not reach any of his potential numbers; meaning he is more likely to develop as a middle relief pitcher.
What I would do, is try to develop him as a 3b; if he shows no improvement by the end of year 2, switch him out.

Agree with the consensus here - develop him as a position player. A 3B who isn't a butcher in LF/RF is a pretty valuable piece with his offensive potential.

Position player beats out reliever any day. Try him out 2 years, if he doesn't pan out, switch to reliever.
