We are an online league that has been running since around OOTP 8. We have a unique setup, with seven ML-level leagues, and a promotion/relegation structure that we manage manually.
The ML leagues all draw from the same free agent pool, and are allowed to trade players to each other. We just upgraded to OOTP 15, and all of a sudden the game doesn't count ML service time cumulatively among all ML leagues. So it leaves us in a situation where we have players on $20 million contracts that are projected to have minimum salary contracts in the next season. Allow me to illustrate: Player X has played in both League 1 and League 2. He played in League 1 for 100 days and in League 2 for 1000 days. He gets traded from League 2 back to League 1. Now, his service time is set at only 100 days, even though he has 1100 days of service time. The game now thinks he doesn't even qualify for arbitration yet, even though he's many years past that. I tried assembling our seven leagues into an "Association", hoping that would mean that ML service time is aggregated from all time in ML leagues, but it didn't change anything. So, I'm stumped. We have a league that has been going for over 30 seasons of in-game time, and suddenly, with OOTP 15, player service time is completely broken. Is this a bug? Does anyone have a workaround? |

I think you will have to manually edit all the players' service times if you've already made the switch. Try to restore a backup from before you switched. Then, go to each league's financial settings and deselect the reset service times for changing leagues.

As it happens, we're still in the preseason, so we can still change the settings.
As written in the settings, it seems to apply only to FAs. Will unchecking the "Reset Service Time for FAs signed from other Leagues" checkbox also prevent service time resets with traded players? |
