Trade Question

Does the response "I'll have to think about it" ever work? I always get an email saying NO WAY!

That's a good question. I have gotten used to just taking the shortcut, pressing the "Make this work now" button rather than waiting for e-mail. If I had to guess, I would say that 99% of the time, the results are the same.

That is, the AI is going to want the same deal, now or a "day or two" from now. The only thing that I can think of that might change the results is if there is an injury in the meantime, or the AI makes some other trade that changes the situation.

Probably the e-mail procedure is supposed to be more realistic. I'm too impatient.

I've had it work before. It says ACCEPTED! You still have to go in the email to complete it. It's rare though, probably one out of ten times or so for me.

Ok so it does work sometime. the email said if i add one of the following players then they would accept. I went back to the trade offer and clicked make this work now and some of the players from the email wasn't in there. I added a player from the email and it still said I have to think about it. I submitted it and two days later I got an email saying this is barely fair but we accept.

Good posts - good stuff to know. I may go back to trying that approach again, now that I read these responses.

yep, I've gotten this and the rare YES even without adding a player. it's worth the try sometimes
