The real question is... how was the "3" input? He was born in 1996, which doesn't have a 3 in it, so unless it was input as binary 0b11111001100 and somehow truncated to 0b11, that shouldn't have happened.

It actually wan't a 3, it was a 4. Not sure why the game/importer turned it into a three.

But no clue. Weird stuff can happen in the midst of entering millions of characters over thousands of players.

Well, that's what I get for being to lazy to download patches.

I'm going to sign him to a MiLB deal and have him play one game for my A-Ball team.
