2016 is in the rear view mirror and the road ahead is paved with gold...all the Cubs need to do is pick it up and win another. Wish it were that easy...just ask the Giants, Royals, Cardinals etc. It ain't.
But just as a man can dream for a Cubs championship since he was a kid in the 1960s, a man can certainly dream of back-to-back World Series title. It isn't out of the realm of possibilities - they won back-to-back titles before just not in a while - so, it most definitely is within the auspices of a fan's fantasies to envision a repeat.
This thread is dedicated to that plight.
And it's dedicated to the paintings that I come up with to commemorate this, which for me, has been a once-in-a-lifetime event, so far.
Here's the first painting. I chose the moment Rizzo stood at third base, after Zobrist pushed a double down the line in Game 7 to take the lead (10th inning). I felt that image captured the moment that so many excited fans felt along with him.
