Fire this GM!

Going through as League Commish and I see this transaction log from the SF Giants....

I guess next year will be better right?

If you're talking about the draft picks, the 2 and the 5 hurt, but I often don't sign guys if I let the AI draft for me. Sometimes you end up with 30th rounders asking for a $3mil signing bonus.

Only the 1st round pick matters, and not even then, some times. Amateur drafting is an incredible crapshoot.

That's not at all true. There are plenty of factors to look for to minimize your risk and maximize return from your picks.

But to the OP, those guys probably wanted signing bonuses above their talent level, or maybe even the second rounder was a good athlete who wanted to play a different sport ("Impossible" signing difficulty).

This.

Note to self: Princess Kenny was really off-putting.

I've seen this many times with good teams and bad. I typically focus more on the play than the financials and as such have not drilled down to determine why this occurred. I looked at it more as the life of the game in progress.

Yes. Drafting has been trashed. You might as well just run autodraft.

According to OOTP itself, OOTP MLB play (modern and historical) outnumbers OOTP fictional play three to one.

Five thousand thanks for a non-modder? I never thought I'd see the day. Thank you for your support.

Man in my Fic league I failed to sign 2 first rounders and 2 3rd rounders this year plus bunch of others but those are the important ones and next years draft is worse in talent so bad year to be me, some times you just dont have the money.
