franchise history/relocation

Odd question, hopefully someone has found a workable solution?

a baseball league with 18 teams... league shrinks to 16 teams.... 2-4 yrs later, league grows back to 18 teams. at least 1 of the missing teams rejoins the league.

is it possible to "retire" a franchise and then bring it back, retaining the team/franchise's history? So on the history tab, for example... it would show years for the franchise like so:

2014 ...stats
2015 ...stats
2018 ...stats
2019 ...stats

etc. etc.

just wondering....

I agree that would be pretty sweet! I am all about altering the league as I get into the feature. Having teams fold shop and what not and maybe a possible return in the future... speaking of I'd like to give the Montreal Expos another crack with the bat; pun INTENDED! (with their previous history showing up or what not)

Only way i can think of is to create a dummy league and relocate the team to that league til you bring them back to the main league. I had plans to do this with the Chicago White Stockings (Cubs) 1872 til they return to the NA/NL. Make sure you select no roster moves from the team setup page.
