Criticism? Oh well...DKBL!

Im ready to take my heat, I know I've made mistakes in the past, but hey, sometimes you will have that as a first time commissioner. So I just wanted to apologize to anyone that I've offended or done any type of harm to. Sometimes it takes some time to realize faults.

The latest situation is...I was the commish of WSBL, I let Greg Meyers take over it, and well after long talks, he is going to keep control of WSBL, but now will title it "ISBL" Internet Simulation Baseball League. He is going to move the site and everything. I decided to be the nice guy, and not ruin what seems to be a teriffic league with him in charge... but here is what I have...

OOTPv5 comes out friday at 12noon as most ppl know. I have been waiting a long time and yes, I said I was gonna be away for a while and I'm done, but OOTP just has that addiction on yah. I am starting up a new v5 league, it's called DKBL. Darryl Kile Baseball League, a tribute to one of my favorite players all time in any sport. This is just a sample however. WSBL will be back.
I am looking for ideas and mainly help. The ideas I have are, would you prefer to start the league with current rosters?, auto rosters? or hold a live draft? and how many rounds??...also, salary cap or not?

The help I need is a co-commish who can do all the day to day things when something comes up, or vise versa. That would require, some webdesign knowledge.

If interested, please reply, or email me at HERE or send a wonderful IM to jblaze03fuel.

thanks everyone.

The fact that you admit you cannot overcome your addictions makes me wonder if you will be unable to overcome your previously demonstrated shortcomings as a Commissioner. Same story, different league?

I really don't think details should be necessary again. I'll leave it at this....sometimes you can't avoid personal issues that come up. I would still stay in office, but the fact of Greg and I not getting along isn't good blood for the league.

Didn't you post this quote just three days ago?

----------------------------------------------------------------
"to everyones wish, im thru with ootp leagues. it's not my life like some of you guys, and i as the person i am don't deserve to be treated the way i am.

hope everyone has a wonderful life and good luck and the best wishes."
----------------------------------------------------------------

Change your mind already?

Also, did you say that you reset your message board on the wsbl site for this new league? WSBL was on the ootp-leagues server, right?

You know that you can't start a new league on the ootp-leagues site without the id #'s, right?

Might not be what you plan, but if so, this might save you some more grief.

just checking.

JBlaze, people won't leave you alone if you're starting a league. I think around the OOTP community we have sort of a Megan's Law only relating to GM's/Commissioners "The above is known as a cheater." We don't want to see people get suckered into joining a league only to have their OOTP experienced soured because of it. That being said, it's somewhat pointless to dwell on one point, but I'm all for pointing out what was shown in the other thread. If people still join, more power to you. But they should at least be informed.

Well, I don't know what it is, but I would probably do it at least once.

Maybe if we go to the wsbl msg board, we could ask some of them their opinions.

JML,
The WSBL forum is gone--reset to the DKBL forum on the WSBL webspace.

Crackpott,

I take exception to clowns like this guy who try to 'skirt' the system that the ootp-leagues server runs on.

Those of us who got our id's the honest way should be alarmed when someone shuts another league down and starts a league on the old space with no id's to even be able to be on the ootp leagues space.

Actually, the WSBL SHOULD have been allowed to stay on there and this clown should have found his own space, but he ran them off with the belief that since he WAS the commish of the WSBL, the space was his, when, in fact, it was the owner's space.

I completely agree with you. I was more referring to the cheating aspect. What you refer to, however, should not be left alone and the OOTP administration should do something about it.

I totally agree with Cooley... and I'm sure Andreas will too.

That space belongs to the owners that provided their ID's... not to Jblaze.

What a joke!!

If the intention is to use the ootp-leagues server then it shouldn't be allowed. If those whose id's were used to initially get the webspace are still active then the Commish of the WSBL and Andreas should get together to remedy the problem and give the webspace back to the WSBL. And I would hope that if OOTP5 order id's are used so leagues can get free webspace there really should be a safegaurd to prevent instances like this from occurring.
