Fictional Player Pics
I'm not digging the new player pics. To me they don't looks as defined or real. New pics look more like cartoon types, if that makes sense.
Are we sure this is still Facegen product?

Is this a new league created in OOTP15 or an imported league from 14/ If its imported try going to league setup and click the update facegen button

ok, the first pic is from 14. The second was just converted to 15.
I don't know it just doesn't look as real to me. It's just my opinion though.

Looks like you have a point. Did we skimp on facegen this year? I hope not.

This looks like an imported game so I would suggest going to the league set up and clicking the update facegen button. |

Actually, I love the new FaceGen pics! I think they look so crisp and, this cartoony look is definitely in-style right now. At the end of the day; however, beauty is indeed in the eye of the beholder. I'm ecstatic about the FaceGen! |

Facegen seems fine in my game, on second look! - Sorry for anyone who read my first post before the edit
![]() But I'm not a big fan of the 'flat UI'.. done well flat UIs are great, done not so great, they're pretty poor. I hate to say but this flat UI just looks clunky and cobbled together, it doesn't look slick at all - example, the stretched logo on the 'Your Next Game' panel on the manager home screen, the amount of times scroll bars are neccessary on panels on the manager home screen, in a good flat UI the panels should either be designed to accommodate the expected content, or the text could scale so scrolling is minimised. I'm running at 1920x1080 so I doubt resolution is an issue. Visuals are a huge part to me in giving fictional leagues real character, and so far I am very underwhelmed by 15 compared to ootp 14. Player images on the profile pages just seem to blur into the very dark background, I do miss the team coloured title bar from OOTP 14.

Definitely lost some realism with OOTP15. I preferred last years look, but to each their own. Some may like the "cartoony" look.

Seems more or less the same to me. Maybe its a problem with facegens from imported leagues?

I imported a league from v14 to v15. Can't say I see a dramatic difference. I did not regenerate pictures after I imported in v15 .
On the left is v15 (black background) and on the right is v14 Last edited by byzeil; 04-25-2014 at 09:06 AM. |

Could this be a Mac issue? Currently I'm running 15 on a Mac Book Pro.

This was my concern since the first screen shots were posted... may consider just sticking to 14 for my main league and using my 15 to play around.

Looks like in v15 the players are lit with harder lighting which flattens the detail in the bridge of the nose. I'm not a big fan of the new facegens but I don't hate them either. Not quite sure what was trying to be accomplished, perhaps an effort to differentiate one player from another? If so, I think they've done quite well. Always felt that many of the v14 game generated players looked almost identical. Still v15 facegens are a bit cartoony, but I'm ok with it if it proves to differentiate the player faces better than before. |

I believe others are seeing issues, they have posted the pics, but not seeing it in my imported game. Last edited by byzeil; 04-20-2014 at 12:32 AM. |
