Two Questions
1. Is there a way to see a player's loyalty, greed, intelligence, etc. without going to the BNN player page? I would like to sort my team and the free agent pool by these attributes. Is that possible?
2. If I change a players position but have the AI managing the minor league team that he is on, do I have to do anything more than check the force start/use at position box? I don't care where he bats in the line-up, I just want him starting at the new position. Thanks. ...and I'm aware that I actually asked three questions

2. No, you don't have to do anything else. If the AI is controlling your minor league depth-charts, line-ups, and rotations, it will respect your "force start" setting and start the player at that position.

You didn't ask, but I'll add regardless. Currently, if you force start a starting pitcher, he will take the #1 position in your rotation. It's just the way the current selection process works. Will it change in a future release? Maybe, but be aware, just in case.

I guess then one other question, will the AI manager give the (position) player normal rest if the box is checked? I don't want to kill the guy by forcing him to play everyday if he's tired. Last edited by Lazy Horse; 06-14-2014 at 05:17 PM. |

endgame - what happens if you have more than one pitcher selected to "force start" at that level? Does it order them #1, #2?

You need to persuade Markus to patch that.

He won't play if he's tired, just like any other starter. Basically all it does is force the AI manager to slot the guy into the depth chart at the position of your choosing.

Right, I should have clarified. It doesn't even mean the player will start every day. You could end up with a situation where the guy you want started is slotted into the depth chart as starter, but the AI manager has someone they think is as good or better right behind them in the depth chart, playing every 2nd game.

I find a lot of times pitchers will go from starter to reliever when someone is called up from the farm system, the player that gets called up is automatically put into the rotation despite the more established pitcher already being in that position. So another MR will get sent down and the former starter will take their place in the bullpen and the rookie will get into the rotation. You see this a lot with the September callups when rosters expand, moreso with teams who are rebuilding (just so you can see what you have with the younger pitchers). Another way this is a very realistic game.
