ML First-Year Player Draft Question

I am running an 1876 simulation with the eight original teams and the actual players, but drafted by the teams at the beginning of the year. There is an event scheduled of tomorrow (in the game) called ML First-Year Draft Pool Is Published.

My question is: What settings have to be in place to ensure that, when I click the "Finish Today" link in the "Play" menu, the players in this draft pool will only be players that were rookies in 1877?

Unless you changed some settings, they should only be the rookies from 1877.

To be certain, copy the folder from your saves (has a .lg extension) to a safe place. Then if you see it is not the way you want, you can go back and make corrections.
