Adding text/jersey script to Logos
When doing this, does it work better to make the script an image and add as a layer? How do you guys create the jersey scripts? How do you guys get the polished professional look? Also need advice on sizing so the logos don't look too small as logo or on cap. I've been trying the type tool on pixlr and not loving how it looks.

Nice logo... Would love it if you shared the cap and uniform when it is all complete. Would be a great team for my league...

I haven't played around with pixlr, so I'm not sure how much control you have over things.
As far as the cap logo goes, the stock one that OOTP comes with is a 150x150 pixel PNG file with transparency where there is no artwork. Presumably, OOTP will scale that appropriately for the cap logo. Personally, I prefer to work with a cap template that lets me generate the entire cap. When doing that, I find that the cap log shouldn't be much more than 50px high, although extremely wide logos generally look better if they're not quite as tall. Also, I recognize (well, I made) that font, and I suggest you don't try mixing upper and lower case. The font (and most of the MLB fonts I made back in the day are like this) is kind of two-in-one - the upper-case letters are a plain block font that you'd generally see a player's last name rendered in, the lower-case letters are the team-specific font. |

Do you have access to photoshop? If so I can try to help you with that.

as for your initial question i do everything on different Layers now, because it makes modifications, and trying new stuff easier- for example i would likely have the two lines of names on different ones to be able to easily play with distance. than once all do i merge them to add the shading, strokes etc,,, |

Start by downloading fonts. Be very careful of trojans. If you have a couple of bucks you can go to Best Buy and buy a CD with thousands of fonts. Much safer.
