Art Fletcher HOFer?
Wanted to get some debate for the off season.
Fletcher was a very good player and doesn't deserve HOF on his playing career, but his coaching career was HOF worthy. He coached on two NY dynasties...does that not deserve HOF induction? Or are you of the mind that these two careers are separate? |

Here's another analogy, using Wikipedia's "inherited notability guideline" as an example - just's because he's "associated" with a so-called "dynasty" team, doesn't mean that he himself is noteworthy. It's simply a matter of - does he meet the HOF criteria for managers/coaches? |

Frank Crosetti topped out with 5% of the HOF vote in 1968 and was a more notable coach than Fletcher. Not as a good a player, of course (other than leading the league in HBP a lot).
OTOH, Joe Torre was a very good player and very good manager. Aggregated, it got him in the HOF.
