Lazy Man's Question: Custom Leagues Fixed?

I pre-ordered, downloaded on day one, and dealt with the early issues because, hell, we have a hockey sim! I'm more than happy to donate a few bucks for the good of the long-term.

That said, I am a bit lazy and I don't want to download and install the new patch(es) if the one thing I want to do cannot be done: create my own hockey universe like I do in OOTP.

So, has the custom league functionality been fixed/improved? Thanks!

I haven't tried this fully but I think you can do a preset league set up bit only nhl ahl style levels and you cannot expand yet.

I'm not 100% sure like I said but I think that's it

You should update with the new patch the older versions have way to many bugs I got the game when the beta came out so I don't know what Version you have when you downloaded the game when you open the game it will tell you in small print

Custom League play still mirrors the NHL.

Hopefully expansion (and more scheduling options)will be available in the next patch or I will be totally disappointed because that was the main reason I bought the game in the first place.

Sebastian at some point wrote that he would like o focus on custom leagues for one of the next patches. That was well before Christmas, though, and it was pretty quiet on that topic since then. In short: We have no idea what the plans for custom leagues are.

He maybe hinted at expansion being added soon, though, because he said he was working on a schedule generator. But that's just a wild guess.

I've got two custom leagues going at the present time and once the season is over I'm done playing FHM until there is an improvement with Custom Leagues and the editors are turned on. Playing the same schedule over and over is very boring. I don't go beyond one season since I can't expand.

If OOTP Developments gets a football game(and hopefully soccer and basketball) the hockey game will get very little of my attention.

I doubt for a while that OOTP will get into football or basketball. Soccer is a dead issue imo because of FM. This will get much better. Things that needed to get worked out are getting there so this part of the game is on the back burner im sure until then.

Just curious, Orioles, does the AI make trades between teams that are not human controlled in your custom leagues? I haven't played at all since late November due to the fact that the last patch seemed to somehow disabled AI trading. I was under the impression that I was not alone with this issue.

I only play in commish mode and there has been transactions. I haven't been paying much attention to it. I just noticed one player has played on 4 teams.

Thanks for the updates, guys. I think I'll hang loose for now. I am more than willing to wait for the game to improve.

Still, happy I paid for it and hope there were enough of us to make this venture worth it for the boys.
