Help! How do I get into my online league?

Sorry about posting this here but I just joined a online league today and there is currently no one online on the league forums.

I went in to my saved games folder and created a folder for my online league as directed, then downloaded and unzipped the league file into it. I was supposed to put the database file inot the settings folder but there wasn't one so I created one and put the database file in that.

Opened up OOTP and made an online account. But I can not figure out how to load the league. The only game listed in my load game option is my offline game. I tried creating a new league and starting it from the online option there but it tries to start from someplace that does not exist.

I've read the online games section of the manual three times now and still have no clue.

I intentionally took a team in serious need of fixing so I have a lot to do but it's going to be really hard if I can't even open the online league

Dont you have the Commish email? what league? I am in Fullcount and they are moving to a new server so there are issues with that league. As far as database you shouldnt have to change that but i could be wrong. You would put the accountsdata GM into the settings folder which is located in the Settings subfolder.
