Why does this not work?
Some aspects of OOTP's financials get my goat. I'm trying to make a trade in my pseudo-NFL league where the salary cap is $105 million and every team has enough of a budget to be able to spend that entire cap. Yet, I'm trying to make a trade with Kansas City, who has a payroll of a whopping $32 million, and the game says they can't afford the trade. Here it is:
![]() And here are KC's financials: ![]() The player I'm trying to trade is costing $12 million this year. Anyway, is there a reason for this not working or is it a bug? |

$12 million this year. What's the remaining contract?

5 years, $70 million. $12 million this year, and then the amount increases by $1 million each year moving forward.

I figured it out. Because it was the start of the offseason, but before free agency, teams were still held to their 2014 payroll (which put KC at about $7 million under the cap) but the game was displaying 2015 payrolls already on the finance page.
