Leadership Ability???

curious what this is supposed to do...

i gave a low salary contract to a 40 year old catcher to be an alternative catcher to me 23 y.o future all-star. i pick the catcher because he had decent catching abilities and was cheap..... also when i looked at his profile it said he had Very High leadership ability. exactly what i wanted for the job.

4 weeks into the season he is emailing me about his playing time (probably tweeting that at least in took 4 BB so far, can only guess)...

so curious... what does leadership ability do? i'm ok with the other qualifiers, but this has me puzzled...

I believe it gives a (very) slight boost to the development of other players on the team.
