Pitch Count & Fatigue

Mid Season
5 man rotations
Most rested starter 64%?

Is there a pitch count that is needed to keep guy able to make their start? 6 man rotation?

Are you playing or simming. How many bullpen pitchers do you have? I have heard of one other having issues with tired SP. Send down a hitter for a game or 2 and bring in an extra arm til you have an offday. I carry 12 pitchers, especially after June 1st.

Check league setup - what do you have pitcher endurance set to?

All 7 levels looked the exact same way which is why I started to worry.

I play at the MLB level but the MiLB is all sim.
I go with 12 pitchers at each level.

SP & RP stamina is 1.00 and Normal

Check your strategy settings also, see what settings are for hook sp, etc etc.

You can set pitch counts on individual pitchers if you wish to using player strategy.

1) Have they been pitching poorly and pulled early lately? How are their recent pitch counts?
2) Has your bullpen been racking up innings lately?
3) How are their individual staminas? You can have a talented starting 5 with low stamina and it will slowly erode fatige.
4) I always set pitch counts for my starters. The first time through the team it takes a few minutes but after that I just adjust new aquisitions and high potential minor league players.

I have my hook set I think 1 more than 1/2 way.

I usually go with 90 pitch count until mid season which I go up to 105

Variable. With a 90 pitch count for the minors computer will routinely leave them in for over 100.

Only in the low minors. Was starting to worry with the big club that I had a couple of guys not getting enough work (even though there is no rust in season).

Every starter in entire system is over 25 stamina per a post I read in the forums.

Ideally I would do: 45 pitches for first 2 starts in spring training; then 60 pitches for next two and 75 pitches for last spring start and first regular season start. Start season with extra pitching to lower chance of injuries. Then I would set the pitch count to 90 until they have pitched 100 inning on the season where I would bump it to 105 AA, AAA & MLB. However this does not work because of large number of balls thrown. My #1 starter has a control of 88 out of 100. He is throwing about 55% strikes per game which too me doesn't equal out. I wish there was a sticky post of here are the basics of the settings, what they mean and some newbie suggestions.

curious, does it make a big difference in results.

I usually only manage the pitch count later in the season, if the team has clinched playoffs. note i usually heavily invest i a shut down relief core, with at least 2 with stamina of 5+/10
