Future draft picks traded for - nullified
Hello, not sure if anyone else has ran into this problem, but what happened is after playing a "historical" season from 1947, I was able to trade for draft picks in future years with no problem - meaning that the draft picks which changed hands would be kept track of when draft time came around each summer.
In seasons after the 1962 draft, drafts began to strictly follow the order of the teams' finish the previous season - that is, any draft picks which had been traded or traded for were nullified. Recently, I started a new "historical" season from 1947, traded for a couple future draft picks. But now, when the 1948 draft rolled around, I have the same problem, and, of course, have lost for nothing the players which I traded for those future draft picks. If there is some way to prevent this from happening, I would appreciate knowing about it. Thanks. |
