Perplexing auto-complete result/bug
Background: iOOTP13, purchased 1977 season, injuries turned off, I set up a game (OK'd roster and pitcher). When the field view came on, before the first pitch I selected auto-complete game.
Then I looked at the box score. My #2 starting pitcher threw four pitches (one hit, no outs) and then was replaced by a reliever. Why? I went to the team roster screen and saw that he was not suspended or injured. He was listed as exhausted. His contract/status page (dated the day after the game) says: 3% -- Totally Exhausted 0 pitches today 112 yesterday [i.e. game day] 0 two days ago 0 3 days ago 0 4 days ago 127 5 days ago The team schedule box score is identical to the one displayed after the game. Your guess, please? |

I see multiple weird things here, and I'm not sure if you encountered a really weird bug or I am misunderstanding. Are you saying that:
1. The first game of the season was started by your #2 and not your #1? (Possible but unlikely) 2. Your starting pitcher threw four pitches (again, possible doe to some game day problem that vanished by the time you saw the box score) 3. Despite throwing four pitches in the box score, he shows in the status page as having thrown 112? 4. After the first game of the season, the status page shows him having pitched twice? If this is true, I'd say you have encountered a bug. |

This was not the first game of the season.

Regarding the four pitch outing, that happens occasionally for no apparent reason when you're clicking "Finish Today" and then looking at the box score. My guess is that if you saw the play by play you would see something like "uh-oh, Smith is holding his elbow, he may be hurt, they're taking him out of the game" but then the next day it turns out to be nothing. |

Yes, #2 and #3 are accurate. A one-day injury makes sense, but I cannot understand how that would result in the 3%/total exhaustion and 112-pitch report.

Cant explain the 112 pitches but I have had a SP get exhausted in the 1st or 2nd inning because there was a long rain delay. |
