In-Game and Pre-game Lineup Changes

It would be phenomenal if when making lineup changes both prior to and during a game (Lineup & Starting Pitcher Screen) the positions the player is rated for appear at the top of the drop down and with their fielding rating at that position (maybe with a faint line separating it from the others).

This as opposed to listing ALL of the positions in the drop down in order with really no information in regards to the players skill.

It also would be a nice failsafe when setting starting lineup pre-game from playing a player out of position by accident.

Just set the 7-day lineup with all the correct positions and you'll never have a player out of position.

Maybe I'm obsessive but I know all my players defensive attributes.

YMMV

I'm not speaking specifically about 7-day line-ups. Which by the way doesn't really work right when you play every game because the 'Use Depth Chart option' seems a little broken. The result, because the starters are in blue is sometimes mistakenly starting a tired player.

I'm talking more about in-game substitutions.

I too know most of my player attributes, but that's really not what I'm asking for. I'm looking for a stronger UX substitution system. The current one is fine, but this wish list item seems like a rather simple change which only strengthens the existing system.

This is a good idea. However, I would not suggest rearranging the positions in the dropdown menu. That can get messy if each player has the positions in a different order. I think just having their defensive rating listed next to each position would be awesome. Through the magic of Photoshop, I give you an example:
