Does OOTP hava a criteria for number of players on a roster?
hi. my question ..... i was under the impression that OOTP had all major league players rated on season rosters. I don't know where i came up with this impression, but as i set up the 1967 season, when i view "all players " i get a total of 505 players. When i check "retired players" i get 636 players. How can i set 40 man rosters for 20 teams when i only have 636? Does OOTP have a certain criteria to be met for rating major league players? For an example , one player a pitcher for the Boston Red Sox in 1967, Billy Rohr , is not included in the 505 players or the 636 counting retired players. Billy Rohr pitched in 10 games in 67 with 8 games started and 42 IP. I don't understand how he is not rated. I check with the Baseball sports encylopedia and it has listed 803 major league players for 1967, which includes 131 players on multiple rosters due to trades... making the 803 number approximately 672. Obviously 40 man rosters will be incomplete for my 20 teams .... Why is this ? Don't really know what i was thinking or how i came up with the idea that all major league players would be represented in rosters. I suppose i can create the missing players but was hoping not to have to do that. Not into fictional players use not an option for me ... I guess 30 years of SOM.... has brainwashed me .... Any help would be appreciated .... maybe i'm missing something ..... thanks
