In-game Personal Message Problems

I am playing in a fictional league I created in which I am playing out every game for the team I control. I am also set up as the commissioner.

I am able to receive messages about the league/world with no problems however, any time I get a personal message, it is blank along with the subject of the message. I have no clue if the messages are from the team owner or another team offering a trade, etc. since nothing is being displayed. Also at times, I am receiving messages stating that I have received a personal message however, there are none displayed.

Does anyone have any ideas as to what is going on and could offer some suggestions as to how I can fix this issue?
