A couple of suggestions regarding signings

I have a couple of suggestions--

1) I would like to be able to delegate the ability to sign minor leaguers to the AI. But, I don't want to delegate the power to release to the AI. I think those should be separated.

2) During the season, I would like to be able to sign free agents, especially to fill a minor league opening, instantly. During the offseason, of course free agents aren't going to sign immediately. But, during the season, it should be another story. It shouldn't take an unemployed player days to decide whether or not he sign in-season.

Some do sign the next day, but yeah, it would be good to be able to sign them the same day.

Agreed, on both counts.

Guys taking weeks to sign a contract in the middle of the season really needs to be looked at. I was down to one catcher due to injuries. Tried to pick up one of the dozen or so unemployed catchers. He liked my offer and said he would let me know. 2 weeks later, I'm still waiting. Meanwhile my catcher is fatigued due to no rest. I trade for a catcher. A day later, the guy I made the offer to accepts. This to me simply isn't realistic. I could see it if it was a player was just released by another team and there was a bidding war going on, but the player I tried to pick up had been sitting on the unemployed lists the entire season.

Two related things may interfere with this request due to simple game logic.

1. If roster limits exist then you would have to ensure space exists or the AI can do nothing. That's the reason the ability is twinned.

2. If as is recommended there is no limit to the lowest minor league roster you may have to enable AI promotion demotion. I suspect that the AI may sign minor league FA to the lowest minors then assign them to another level. If that's the case the AI may not sign a player that can't be assigned to where he is needed. If it doesn't work that way then 1 above comes in to play.

A logical conundrum.
