My Yearly Plea For Help - Hex Editing?

I have a unique problem with my OOTP database. The game thinks that my game started at year 0, that's right year zero. This was caused by a combination of a function that was last available in OOTP11 (CATO) and a possible fault with my own lahman-style database. It is a workable problem, it only screws up the league history page - I am unable to scroll down to any of my actual seasons (which started for real in 1970).

As I have probably asked every year around this time, I was wondering if anyone might have an idea as to what I can do to remedy this situation. I downloaded a hex editor (not that I know what the hell i'm doing with it) but couldn't find which file or files contain the starting year of the database. Even if I could figure out which file or files to fix, I'm not sure I would know how.

Any suggestions???
