Lineups
New here so please bear with me. I recently purchased iOOTP and love the game but am getting frustrated that the system will not defer to the default lineups. Consequently for each game I need to manually change 3 positions as they are left empty (due to injuries or trades that I have made). Can anyone help with this?

Lineups
You also have to change the depth chart for the changes to take effect.

Makes sense. I'll try that, thanks.

It's not micromanaging if it has to be done
Yes, start with the depth chart, and then ask the Ai to set the lineup -- otherwise your depth chart settings will be ignored.
You would be wise to see if you like the AI lineup. In my experience, it often puts a painfully slow but good OBP catcher in the first or second slot. If you ask the AI for the depth chart, be aware that the AI does not value defense much, and you might end up with a 2-rated player while a far better defender is on the bench, even though the two players' batting ratings are not far apart. |
