Buying Players

Hi all,

Question 1
I"m kind of new to the game and need help with the way the game works when buying international players. I noticed when i'm looking at a player for e.g. in cuba his contract status does not offer any buy or claim buttons. I can't even offer a trade to get him. His just sitting on my shortlist. Will this player become free or is there another way to purchase him. His not playing in any american leagues.


Question 2
As for american players that i am scouting to buy, when i click on the trade button there is also another button called "Forced Trade" when i click on force trade i get the player without any issues from the other team. To me this doesn't sound right, you would expect the other team to be asking for more or cash and a player to trade. Am i doint something wrong here.

If this is an international scouting discovery (in which case, you would have received a message from your scout about finding this player), then you automatically have him. He should be in your International Complex (your training academy). The message from your scout would have said this. He'll stay there unless you promote him to your minor leagues. If you wait he'll be promoted automatically when he turns 20.

You are in Commissioner mode. This is basically God mode. When you select the "Force Trade" button, you are acting as League Commissioner, not as GM of your team. Your options here are to refrain from that kind of action unless you intend to act as Commissioner, or to just turn off Commissioner mode (Manager Menu --> Manager Options --> uncheck "Commissioner Mode").
