CIS breakdown
The CIS is a 52 team college league feeding the CBL. It is broken down into four 13 team conferences. Each team plays the other 12 teams in its conference 3 times for a 36 game schedule during April & May. They do not play the other conferences during the season. The top four teams in each conference enter a 16 team tournament to determine the CIS champion. The tournament plays through June and early July ending before the CBL draft. The CIS is based on real CIS teams but is restructured somewhat for easier scheduling. Atlantic University Sport: contains teams from the real AUS and some teams from RSEQ ------------------------------- Acadia Axemen Cape Breton Capers Dalhousie Tigers Memorial Sea-hawks Moncton Aigles Bleu Mount Allison Mounties Saint Mary's Huskies Sherbrooke Vert et Or St Francis Xavier X-men St Thomas Tommies UNB Varsity Reds UPEI Panthers UQAM Citadins Ontario-Quebec: teams from real OUAA and some from RSEQ ------------------ Bishops Gaiters Carleton Ravens Concordia Stingers Laval Rouge et Or McGill Redmen McMaster Marauders Montreal Carabins Ottawa Gee-Gees Queens Gaels Royal Military College Paladins Ryerson Rams UQTR Patriotes York Lions Ontario-Central: teams from real OUAA and one from Canada West ------------------ Brock Badgers Guelph Gryphons Lakehead Thunderwolves Laurentian Voyageurs Laurier Golden Hawks Nipissing Lakers Toronto Varsity Blues Trent Excalibur UOIT Ridgebacks Waterloo Warriors Western Ontario Mustangs Windsor Lancers Winnipeg Wesmen Canada West: ---------------- Alberta Golden Bears Brandon Bobcats Calgary Dinos Fraser Valley Cascades Lethbridge Pronghorns Manitoba Bisons Okanagan Heat Regina Rams Saskatchewan Huskies Thompson Rivers Wolfpack Trinity Western Spartans UBC Thunderbirds Victoria Vikes Last edited by Khan; 05-26-2013 at 10:22 PM. |

The template can be used to start over with new players or add the CBL to other leagues.
You'll need the logos and schedules if you use the template. The schedules will need to be imported. Also you'll need to adjust the CIS creation ages after creating the league and the CIS playoffs will need to be adjusted as you like. The quickstart is in preseason still so you can still make adjustments. Feedback is welcome, especially to improve the league. ![]() Enjoy! |

Khan,
Is there a way to import the CIS only as a feeder league into an existing league? |

Try loading the template and then delete everything except the CIS.
Then save this as a template and add it to your league as a feeder. Should work I think. The template is saved before league creation so there are no players in it. If you want to use the CIS the same way I did, then you'll need the schedule which is only 36 games long. If you want more games then you'll probably have to stick with whatever OOTP gives you. I used custom playoffs but that can't be set until the league is created. Edit: Actually, I guess you could just add the entire template to your league and just delete the leagues you don't want Last edited by Khan; 05-29-2013 at 12:55 AM. |

Khan,
So, I have tried adding this as a template, everything appears to be loading fine, and when it is complete, I can't find it??? Any ideas. I assume you just place it in the world_templates folder and then choose add template from the league setup screen. Really love to get the CIS as my college feeder system. |

The jerseys are all game created for the entire quickstart though they are tied to the logo colors.
Yeah it would be nice to have custom jerseys. Last edited by Khan; 06-03-2013 at 04:58 PM. |

Quote:
1. Create new game with wizard and add CBL as template. 2. Delete all leagues except CIS and save as template. 3. In your existing league offseason, go to your league setup. 4. At the bottom is a templates tab, click and select add template to world. 5. Select your recently saved CIS template. 6. Make your league the parent league of the CIS You'll have to create players as there are none in the template. I couldn't seem to get it to work by using the entire CBL template 1st. Very cool! Couple quick questions though...
Just want to make sure I have this right. If I load up the quick start, then do I have to import the schedules and and adjust the CIS creation pages? And if so, where do I do those things? Or is everything all set to go once the quick start is loaded?
Can't wait to start my career with my hometown North Bay Power, thanks! |

The QuickStart is ready to go.
If you want you can use the template to start over with new players. The schedules would need to be imported then if you want to use the same ones in the QuickStart. The cis uses custom playoffs so you'd need to adjust them if you use the template. |
