New Nations...

Ok, I've got to get this off my chest...

I have spent DAYS trying to create a new league set in a fictional world of eleven states/regions and approximately 250 cities/towns. No matter what I do, something doesn't work...

Why can't I have an editor that simply lets me enter the states and cities/towns (or randomly generates them) and then allows me to pick that "world" for my new league? All teams would be chosen from that world and all birth locations for the players would as well.

And while I'm at it, why couldn't I (with the same editor) decide what nationality/cultures I wanted in the league. Why is it so hard to create an all Irish, or Italian, or Russian, or White, or Black, or Indian baseball league?

I know there's all kind of reasons why many people wouldn't do that - but why should it be impossible?

Ok, off my soapbox - been a bad day....

You work fast. It took me weeks last time I tried. But it worked for me. Completely fictional. Someone wrote a very good how-to in the General section, I believe. I don't know if you've read it yet.

Editing nations or adding new ones as it is now is tedious. I agree an editor would be a time-saving addition. Maybe just like the in-game one that lets you add states and cities, but it makes the changes to the XML permanently. Or something.

But you can now. You decide what nationalities you want the game to create players from in the options tab. You could also edit the ethnicities text file to further control those nationalities. If you set Russia to 1000 African-American, for example, all the players the game will produce from Russia will be African-Americans facegens with Russian names.

You can create an all-[race or nationality] league in '14. Unless you're trying to do something else and I'm completely missing it.
