Draft pick signing deadline wrong -- how to adjust?
Is there a setting to adjust this somewhere? I converted my OOTP 13 league to 14 in the offseason. Later when I finished the amateur draft (on June 15) I was told as usual that I have 2 months to sign my picks, but the signing deadline actually is July 15. When I advanced to the preseason, I didn't see an option for changing this in the Rules section under league settings. I advanced a couple of years and it seems stuck at 1 month after the draft, regardless of draft date.
Upgraded to the new patch (14.4.23) and no change.

Something would seem to be gafarbled, because you should get the two months by default. Plus, you already took care of one suggestion by advancing the game a season or two. The only other thing that I can think of is to wait until preseason and look again if an option becomes available at that time. My guess, though, is that there is no such option.

Thanks. After some more experimentation, I just realized that the difference is linked to the 2012 CBA rules, which I had enabled after the import to OOTP 14. So I assume the difference in the deadlines is intentional? If so, my mistake!

Well, in real life the amateur draft signing deadline is a sliding date which depends on the All-Star Game date. The deadline is the Friday between July 12-18 which occurs nearest the All-Star Game.
This year, for example, the All-Star Game was on Tue. July 16. The nearest Friday to that falling between July 12-18 is Friday, July 12. Last year, the All-Star Game was on July 10. The nearest Friday to that falling between July 12-18 was Friday, July 13. In the prior CBA the signing deadline was a fixed Aug. 15. |

Man, these forums are great. I just checked my game; naturally, being still in 1911, I do NOT have the 2012 CBA rules box checked. The change might very well be built into that. I learn something new almost every day here!
