Is there a way to mass-edit ratings?
Using Excel or something?

Yes. Look into the topic in the Online Manual: Out of the Park Baseball Manual
The file that is generated is extremely complex so you had better know how to import a comma delimited text file into Excel, how to sort and edit data in worksheet format, and how to export it back into a text file so that you can import the updated version into OOTPB.

As Bru says, with one difference....This only applies to roster files....
You can save them and import them as .csv files. They do not need to be .txt files. To save them as .csv files, you have to manually add the .csv extension as ootp auto sets the extension to .txt If you do any sorting, you must select all rows and then sort by any columns you want, if you don't, your data will be all unsorted and you'll end up with a mess.
