Sorry. That was a very slow response there (?).
When posted didn't see any of previous replies. |

I've never tried it with any version, so I don't know. I've thought about giving it a try, but never got around to it. |

But I'd be interested to hear about other people's experiences with it.

I tried it. It was very slow, and some records were off. Fighters with only a few bouts recorded had over a hundred wins.

If you create a (free) user name & password on the Boxrec site the import utility works fine, otherwise you only get a small portion of them actually updated. (Think the boxrec site only allows a limited amount of page views by a guest, hence it blocking the utility after a small numer of records are updated)Create a password...log in...uses the TBCB utility to your heart's content. As far as it not working on 2.6...you can set up the database in 2.5, atleast the fighters anyway, then run the boxrec utility to get their real world records, then create a new uni in 2.6 and import the data from 2.5...the records are there! Note - I've had a few crashes when using 2.6, not sure if the imported 2.5 dataset has anyhing to do with that or not |

I hope I am wrong but it seems to me that we could import BOXREC info into the game but it didn't actually go into the statistics or records it just went on the bio page. So, really other than just looking to see on the bio page what a fighter did in real life, it had no effect on "in game" play. I hope I am wrong but I don't think so. Any one know?

Guess this would be handy for detailed historical replays.

What format does this tool create? Does it not produce TBDX3 files?
TB2013 will read in TBDX3 files and XML files. To be future proof this tool should create the XML files as found in the import_data folder.. |
