Illegal number of players on roster

I'm playing in the second season of the team all-star league as the Giants. The dialogue box with the note to the effect that Prescott had an illegal number of players on its roster (1) came up. I figured no problem, I'll just fill their roster with fictional players which I then went to do. Not so easy as I have two levels of minors in this league and Prescott is not one of the Giants minor league clubs...??? Why would I even be concerned let alone go searching through the two minor leagues to find Prescott, hopefully, and then fill their roster up? Can't play until I fill Prescott up, I guess but this seems very strange. Anyone know off the top of their head just what is expected here? I feel bad for Prescott but still its not my problem. Thanks for any help on this matter.

Off the top of my head, do you have enough free agents for the AI to sign and fill up all rosters in every organization?

I guess I was right, for a change, this week. It's been a rough one. I was wrong more often here than in my wife's opinions!
