Long time, non-elite league looking for an owner

The ACL has just completed it's 8th season of rip-roaring action. As we head into our unprecedented 9th season we find ourselves in need of a sap, I mean leader, for the Pittsburgh Pirates.

If you are a breathing human being who has an interest in joining a less-than-vibrant online community of losers who play online sim baseball, then this is the league for you.

If you are experienced, that's great. If you are a newbie, that's great too. If you only join elite leagues, we will take you too.

Some of our owners have been around since day one. Some of them haven't. Some of our owners are wiley and cagey. Some of them should be kept in cages.

All that we ask is that you pretend to be interested and show suitable enthusiasm for the art of ACLing.

Check out the site, the players, the owners, the rules.

If you are interested or have any questions, drop me a line at mking@tyler.net

And (as stated in the ACL rules) any new owner taking over a sub .500 team, i.e. the Pirates, will be allowed to dump 'up to' 2 players (and their salaries) FREE of charge. So do not look at the Pirates as a lost cause.

With free agency just around the corner (the first round this Tues), and with lots of very good free agents to choose from this off-season, the Pirates can make some noise very fast if the new owner plays his cards right.

But hurry, free agency starts this week. Hope to see you there.

Sorry Ed. We got a non-elite experienced OOTP veteran older man to take over the Pirates.

Those of you who ignored this opportunity, you can continue ignoring it.

Thank you.

Great presentation, mking; I enjoyed it. And it must have been effective
