Vote in each bracket just to see who's "ahead" in each bracket. (The "tournament" continues all this week.) Tradition certainly is a huge advantage, but there were a few surprises.

1. Seinfeld's quote about uniforms; he said that because of the way players constantly change teams and teams occasionally change cities, sports fans are actually rooting for clothes. "You are standing and cheering and yelling for your clothes to beat the clothes from another city," he said. "Fans will be so in love with a player, but if he goes to another team, they boo him. 2. The unexpectedly close battle between the Mets and the Nationals (putting my "traditional advantage" theory to the test).

3. Interesting and funny comments made by the authors, explaining their seedings (including why they gave the Tigers and Cardinals first-round byes). Example, about the Indians: "Sorry, when you insist on Chief Wahoo on the cap, you'll be seeded last no matter the rest of the uniform."

2. I actually like the Nats uniforms a lot. Not a huge fan of the Walgreens W though.

Of course, they have to have a different URL for the second round, with no link from the first round page so you have to hunt for it. Go figure.

EDIT: Neck-and-neck for Yankees/Athletics and Pirates/Giants! Nationals, after getting by the Mets in a close first-round battle, are getting clobbered by the Cubs, however.

I'm sad to see the Twins have to face the Yankees. The Twins unis deserve to go further but really have no chance against the Yankees. I know it's subjective but I'm really not a fan of the seeding on this tourny. How are the the Astros the 4th seed?

In the first round my picks of the Indians and Mets fell at the first hurdle but looks like a few will fall at the second as at the moment only the Tigers, Cards, Cubs and Dodgers are winning.

My favs are the Detroit and Cincy home jerseys. Simple, stylish and classic.

Voting for the Cubs in the hopes that they can make it to the semi-finals and lose to the Cards. Makes me feel warm inside just thinking about it.

I prefer alt uniforms. My top 5 in 2013 are Blue Jays home, White Sox Sunday, White Sox black, Cubs home, Cardinals Road & Green A's.

The whole face-off is lame. The basic uniforms pretty much look all the same, and the voting simply reflects the ratio of fans participating, imho.

If you include alternate uniforms you have a much more interesting face-off.

So why don't we have a competition here on the forum? Find the best designed uniforms, and then have them do a face-off. This would include all kinds of fantasy league, sci-fi and classical uniforms...

Start the thread. Problem is I have about 100 Gern jerseys i could submit, 200 Irrecula, 5 That Seventies Guy, 50 txranger. i am gonna upset someone by not submitting his uniform.
But to give you an idea here is my all time favorite uniform made for one of my leagues. Made by Gern.

It would be great if you could beat the drums a bit about it, especially in the mod forums.

The Yankees barely squeaked by the Athletics in the last round, and now they face the Red Sox! Another close battle had Pirates over the Giants.

Four tough matchups for the quarterfinals:

Tigers/Orioles
Yankees/Red Sox
Cardinals/Pirates (I think the Cardinals are going to win this thing)
Cubs/Dodgers

How did the White Sox beat the Red Sox for More Historical Franchise
(Yeah I don't agree either) on Facebook but lose for uniform? All 4 White Sox uniforms for 2013 are better then any Red Sox jersey throughout history.
Fpr the final 4. Yankees, Orioles (Love the bird cap), Cardinals (slightly, I love the Pirates alts) & Dodgers. Yankees and Dodgers are the only 2 home & road jerseys that I like for a team that has no alts.

Orioles (Always liked thier unis)over Tigers(much overrated in my opinon), Yankees(simple but Classic. There is a reason they've changed very little) over Boston, Cardinals over Pirates, Cubs over Dodgers.
