Another Team

I am thinking of taking over a new team in 1950 in my dynasty. an option is to stay with Brooklyn Dodgers one more year, or pick another team I have not managed yet.

Since the Pirates did not appear on your list, I assume you have already managed them. Go with the Tribe, always fun to run.

Nope, they have too many great players. Ted Williams is one.

Re: Another Team

What about the Cards? They were two games over 500 that year, but had some good players (Schoendeinst, Slaughter, Musial, Garagiola).

Cards finished 77-77. They were led by Harry Brecheen (21-6) Johny Pesky, Roy Sievers, and Hank Bauer, and Gene Mauch.

If your looking for a challenge, just take the team that had last years worst record and try to build them up, makes it easier and you usually have your work cut out for you.

That would be Detroit:
Pitching wise Dutch Leonard II (13-19) Jerry Staley (6-11) Murry Dickson (9-20)
Batting wise Red Schoendienst .262 Joe DiMaggio .280 21 HR Ted Kluszewski .298 15 HR.

In 1950? They went 78-75 (which is three games over, not two)

Brecheen went 8-11. The other players you listed weren't on the team.

Go with the Sox. Aparicio and many others great small ball teams if you make the moves to bring the right personal in. Bring Al Lopez in in '57. Dont get rid of Cash or Battey.

Depends on how much you want to keep the historical integrity of the league. I'd say expand into L.A. and S.F., forcing the Dodgers and Giants to stay put.

Detroit has Dutch and DiMaggio? Seems like a fair bet they're going to be a lot better soon...

Start from the bottom and take credit for DiMaggio and the teams improvements!

Or...go with the Ted Williams team as a Sox fan I would probably be biased and choose that
