Is there a way to have a league in my universe that sits dormant for entire seasons? For instance, can I have 4 leagues in the same game but one of them only plays every other season?

I know of no such way, but that doesn't mean there isn't per say. maybe some other vet who plays with multiple universes can give you better answer

Generate a schedule for 0 games for the universe you want to be dormant.

Or just delete the schedule that's already there if OOTP won't actually let you make a 0 game schedule.

Lukasberger is right, you should be able to set the schedule at zero games or just delete it in the preseason. Out of curiosity why just not add the league in later?

I concur, although i have yet to try this for my league this is a plan of attack instead of folding the entire league. I also am going to check the Lock roster option on the team setup page, so they dont sign anyone.
